Lab-V Auri Vet — professional ear care for dogs with recurrent ear canal conditions, formulated to address the anatomical reality of the canine ear: a long, L-shaped canal that traps wax, moisture, and debris far more readily than the human ear.
Why Dogs Need Dedicated Ear Care
The Canine Ear Anatomy Problem — A dog's ear canal descends vertically before turning horizontal toward the eardrum; this L-shape creates a wax and moisture trap that the dog cannot self-clear. In floppy-eared breeds (Cocker Spaniels, Basset Hounds, Golden Retrievers) the situation is further complicated by restricted airflow under the ear flap, creating ideal conditions for bacterial and yeast overgrowth.
Auri Vet Formula — Combines salicylic acid (mild keratolytic to break down wax build-up), lactic acid (antimicrobial and pH-lowering to create an environment hostile to Malassezia yeast and Pseudomonas bacteria), and glycerin (humectant for canal tissue health).
Cerumen Dissolution — The formula actively dissolves ceruminous debris that accumulates in the horizontal canal where standard cotton-wool cleaning cannot reach; the irrigation-and-wipe technique allows the dissolved debris to be flushed from the canal.
Suitable for Routine Maintenance and Acute Episodes — Can be used as a weekly preventive in predisposed breeds, or as a daily flush during active otitis episodes under veterinary direction.
How to Use
Fill the ear canal generously with Auri Vet solution. Massage the base of the ear firmly for 30 seconds (you should hear a wet squelching sound — the solution is working). Allow the dog to shake its head. Wipe the visible canal with a cotton pad. Never use cotton buds inside the ear canal — they push debris deeper rather than removing it.
Storage
Store at room temperature away from direct sunlight. Once opened, use within 6 months. Keep the cap tightly closed between uses.
