Spar Whipped Cream Slice

The Spar Slagroom Schnitte — a layered sponge and fresh whipped cream slice, the lightest and most classic of the schnitte varieties. Delicate sponge with a generous whipped cream filling and a clean, unadorned top.

Ingredients

Wheat flour, sugar, butter, eggs, whole milk, fresh double cream, sugar, vanilla extract. Contains gluten, milk, eggs. May contain traces of nuts and soya.

Serving

Serve at room temperature (15 minutes out of fridge). Best the day of purchase when the cream is at peak freshness. Pair with fresh strawberries or a drizzle of fruit coulis for a more substantial dessert.

Storage

Refrigerate. Consume within 2 days of purchase — fresh whipped cream does not keep well once cut. Do not freeze.
